Locomotion... keep moving! While some of us love animal movements others tolerate the practise. Either way it’s a great way to move. Training here backward and forward - with and without a weight. Encourage always movements without weight then add the weight. Mimicking motions with different degrees of level changes! A great cue is shoulders packed (pull back and tuck them down) and keeping a straight strong wrist for the Kettlebell training ) Enjoy and have a great day!

You never know what the road ahead may look like but I myself can guarantee myself that whatever that road looks like I will take forward my training, my discipline and my drive to help others. One day it may rain and another the sun may shine but the consistency of taking care of yourself must always remain! I have had people say “health and fitness has never been so important!” I agree and disagree. I believe it should always be important. We often teach ourselves to react instead of being proactive. Example - get sick then say “time to get healthy,” trouble is if you get sick- getting healthy may be that much harder. Love your body it is your home. You take it everywhere with you . When you train .... repeat the words “I get to train !”
Carrying gratitude into your day with help with those words and before long your body will feel the benefits of the words you speak! The roads we travel won’t be easy but make it an adventure & you will enjoy the adventure much more if your body is strong and healthy!!!

Today you can train all 3 variations or the one that fits your level of ability! I had the privilege last night to train 11 new clients on the mats! I know it is hard for some to walk on to those mats, I know some of the exercises feel uncomfortable and hard. I reminded them to remember that feeling ... strange you may think right - but truly remembering how it felt will allow you a memory of your Start! So when you look back at the moment after training for 2/3 weeks you will feel empowered and accomplished & you can carry that forward!!
When I post an exercise that is more advanced it is to challenge you. You may not execute it today but if you keep working on it you will get there to the best of your ability! And remembering the sweat and difficultly of how that felt will be your Sense of Accomplishments! As we say on the mats “you do you - because you are Great!”

We never stand still so our training should mimic our life so we can add in different ways to make our training more functional. When we add in locomotion we have to be still mindful of executing the technique. This could be simply by adding a weight as in the army get up (remember first task is to properly execute without weight) or by changing an exercise as here also the walking swing. Remembering the basics of that swing - hip hinge and glute engagement! Your walking swing should still have the top (glute engagement) and the bottom (hip hinge). Being mindful when you step forward/back you take a micro step so that you enable that engagement of your Glutes (your butt) . Train this only after you have mastered and feel comfortable with the Full Mobility Swing! Have fun with this today!

Growing up on the farm we never really discussed exercising or moving as it was how we lived. You would walk to the barn, carry pails of chop and like today dig potatoes.
